Quentin Crowley

Director of Trinity Centre for the Environment, Professor of Geology, TCD

Quentin Crowley is Ussher Assistant Professor in Isotopes and the Environment at TCD. His research interests include geochemistry of the contemporary environment, magmatic and mineralising systems (particularly gold and porphyry deposits), biominerals as environmental proxies. He is one of Ireland’s foremost authorities on radon, and as such advises Leinster House on safe housing policy.

He has a passion to see learning from the geological past create wisdom for our environmental future, and is very involved in many groups that actively campaig for a wiser co–existence within our environment, and deeper care for the natural!
