Alan Rusbridger's Profile Image

Alan Rusbridger

Former editor The Guardian newspaper, Principal Lady Margaret Hall Oxford

As former editor of The Guardian newspaper, Alan is a journalist and academic who has spanned the news (and reporting of the news) over several decades in UK. Most controversially he was the editor of The Guardian at time of Wikileaks publications, eventually destroying the hard–drives passed to them in the presence of government officials. For this he reached the heights of being played by Peter Capaldi in the 2013 movie ‘The Fifth Estate!’ He is also a passionate musician, author and environmentalist.
