Martin McAleese Profile Image

Martin McAleese

Chancellor Dublin City University, former Seanad Senator.

Martin is a politician, accountant and dentist, and currently Chancellor of Dublin City University.

As the husband of former President of Ireland Mary McAleese, he used his influence to champion human rights, especially in the area of conflict resolution and reconciliation. He is widely regarded as an important backroom figure in helping to bring about the peace negotiations that led to the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. We are honoured by his presence at The Good Summit this year, and look forward to his inspiring contributions
